Semaglutide Instructions

💉 What it is:

Semaglutide is an FDA-approved once-weekly injection that helps with weight loss by reducing appetite, slowing digestion, and supporting blood sugar control. It works best when combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

✅ Before You Start

Tell your doctor if you:

  • Are allergic to Semaglutide or other medications
  • Have thyroid, kidney, pancreas, or digestive issues
  • Are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
  • Are having surgery or procedures with anesthesia

✅ Injection Success Tips

  • Pick a day of the week and stick to it for consistency.
  • Rotate injection sites: upper arm, thigh, or stomach to avoid irritation.
  • Missed a dose by 3–4+ days?
Take it when you remember — that becomes your new injection day going forward (dose weekly from then).

📈 What to Expect Weekly (Semaglutide):

  • Early weeks (during dose titration): Weight loss may be slower, typically around 0.5–1.5 lbs per week.
  • Mid to late treatment phase: Weight loss often increases to 1–2.5 lbs per week, depending on the dose, consistency, and lifestyle habits.
  • Weight loss may plateau as the body adapts or if diet and activity levels are not sustained.

📝 Important Notes:

  • Semaglutide works by suppressing appetite, slowing gastric emptying, and improving insulin sensitivity.
  • Combining it with a calorie-restricted diet and regular exercise enhances weight loss outcomes.
  • Individual results vary—some people lose weight more quickly, while others may lose more gradually or hit plateaus.
