Kybella is the first and ONLY FDA-approved non-surgical injectable treatment to improve moderate to severe fat beneath the chin (the dreaded double chin!) by permanently destroying the fat cells in the treatment area.
Once injected, Kybella, made of deoxycholic acid, destroys the fat cells. These damaged cells are then gradually metabolized by the body over the next couple of weeks, resulting in a reduction in the volume of the treatment region.

What to Expect

Before the injections, a topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure your comfort. Your provider will then administer Kybella directly into the fat beneath your chin using a fine needle or cannula. The entire process typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
After your Kybella treatment, you may experience mild discomfort, burning, redness, or bruising, but these side effects usually subside within a minutes to a few days.
