Microneedling
Microneedling is a skin rejuvenating treatment that uses a small hand-held device with tiny needles that create microchannels or tiny holes in the skin’s surface. These microchannels immediately trigger the healing process, stimulating your body to produce collagen and elastin in the deeper layers of the skin. Collagen production is crucial to our skin’s integrity. More collagen means a more youthful appearance.
Microneedling improves the texture and firmness of the skin, and it reduces large pores, stretch marks, and treats acne scarring.

Is there any downtime with Microneedling?
There is minimal downtime with a Microneedling treatment. It may feel like a light sunburn, with some redness and light peeling for around 3 days. For more aggressive treatments, mild redness and peeling may be experienced for 5 – 7 days. Keeping the skin hydrated will help with the healing time. We recommend avoiding heat, exercise, and sweating on the day of treatment. Sunscreen or makeup and be resumed the next day with a clean application.
How long does it take to see the results from Microneedling?
As your skin reacts to the punctures, you will have an immediate glow, but Microneedling results build with time. This is because your body increases the production of collagen and elastin for weeks. Visible changes with the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Your results can continue to improve for up to six months.

What is microneedling with PRF?
Microneedling with PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) combines microneedling with the application of your own platelet-rich fibrin to enhance the treatment's rejuvenating effects. PRF contains growth factors that stimulate collagen production for a richer treatment and accelerates skin healing for even better results.
How Microneedling Works
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that uses tiny needles to create micro-injuries in the skin’s surface. These micro-injuries trigger the body’s natural healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production to repair and regenerate the skin. As the skin heals, it becomes smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking.
At Arsenault Aesthetics, our skilled professionals use state-of-the-art microneedling devices to ensure precise, controlled treatment tailored to your individual skin concerns. The treatment can be combined with PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) or other skin-boosting serums to enhance the rejuvenating effects and deliver even better results.
Microneedling is a versatile treatment that effectively addresses a wide range of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, and uneven skin texture. By promoting the growth of healthy, new skin cells, microneedling helps to restore your skin’s natural radiance and beauty.
What to Expect
When you arrive for your microneedling appointment at Arsenault Aesthetics, our experienced skin care specialists will begin by discussing your skin concerns and treatment goals. We will assess your skin’s condition to ensure that microneedling is the most suitable treatment for your needs.
Before the treatment, a numbing cream will be applied to the target area to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Once your skin is numb, our specialist will use a microneedling device to create tiny micro-channels in the skin’s surface. The treatment may cause mild discomfort, but the numbing cream helps to minimize any pain.
Following the microneedling session, your skin may appear red and slightly swollen, similar to a mild sunburn. These side effects are normal and should subside within a few days. Our specialist will provide you with aftercare instructions to help soothe your skin and enhance the healing process.
