BBL Photofacial
The effects of sun exposure, an active lifestyle and the natural aging process have an impact on the health and appearance of your skin. As “the next generation of IPL” a BBL Photofacial treatment restores your skin’s natural beauty, making it clearer, smoother, and more vibrant.
Light therapy is one of the best weapons in a skin health regimen. Using specific light filters, BBL Photofacial targets discoloration, sun damage, broken capillaries and veins. Light therapy improves skin tone by stimulating cell renewal and the production of collagen and elastin. With virtually no downtime, BBL Photofacial is easy to incorporate into your anti-aging regimen.

What is the difference between BBL and IPL laser treatments?
BBL (BroadBand Light) and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) are similar technologies that use light energy to treat various skin concerns. The primary difference is that BBL uses a broader range of wavelengths, allowing for more precise and customized treatments. How BBL Photofacials Work
BBL photofacial is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes advanced BroadBand Light technology to target and treat a variety of skin concerns. The light energy is absorbed by the targeted areas, such as pigmented lesions, broken capillaries, or acne-causing bacteria, breaking them down and stimulating the body’s natural healing process.
As a result, the skin’s appearance is improved, with a reduction in brown spots, freckles, and sun damage. The BBL photofacial also stimulates collagen production, promoting smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin. At Arsenault Aesthetics, our skilled skin care specialists customize each BBL treatment to suit your individual needs, ensuring the most effective results for your specific skin concerns.
What to Expect
Your BBL photofacial appointment at Arsenault Aesthetics will begin with a thorough consultation, during which your skin care specialist will discuss your concerns and desired results. Based on your unique needs, a personalized treatment plan will be designed to achieve the best possible outcome.
During the procedure, your skin will be cleansed, and a cooling gel may be applied for enhanced comfort. Protective eyewear will be provided to ensure your safety. The BBL device will then be used to deliver light energy to the targeted areas, which may cause a mild snapping or stinging sensation. The treatment usually lasts around 30 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated.
After your BBL photofacial, you may experience temporary redness and mild swelling, which should subside within a few hours to a couple of days. In the days following BBL, the brown pigmentation treated by the laser will get temporarily darker, a process called “coffee grinding.” This should resolve in 5 – 14 days. It is essential to avoid direct sun exposure and apply sunscreen with at least SPF 50 to protect your skin during the healing process.
You can expect to see noticeable improvements in your skin’s appearance within a few weeks, with optimal results typically visible after a series of treatments.
BBL Photo Facial Treatment Applications
BBL photofacial is a popular treatment for reducing facial redness and the symptoms of rosacea. By targeting and breaking down blood vessels that cause redness, BBL helps to restore an even skin tone and alleviate rosacea symptoms. However, even though BBL can help with redness, for a more specific redness treatment, we recommend our VBeam PDL laser treatment.
BBL photofacial stimulates collagen production, leading to smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin. By promoting collagen growth, the treatment can improve skin texture, minimize fine lines, and restore a more youthful appearance. However, at Arsenault Aesthetics we consider this a positive side benefit of the treatment. For even greater collagen and skin rejuvenation, and for more specific texture improvement, we recommend Microneedling.
BBL photofacial effectively targets and eliminates broken capillaries and small spider veins, restoring a more even and balanced complexion. The light energy is absorbed by the blood vessels, causing them to collapse and be naturally removed by the body. However, even though BBL can help with redness, for a more specific redness treatment we recommend our Vbeam PDL laser.
BBL photofacial can help minimize the appearance of enlarged pores by stimulating collagen production, which tightens and firms the skin. As a result, pores may appear smaller and less noticeable, giving the skin a more refined appearance. However, even though a BBL photofacial can help with pore size, if your main objective is pore size improvement, we recommend microneedling.
